Bio Box Tree Moth Free 20m2

Nematodes for natural control against the box tree moth

Bio Box Tree Moth Free is effective against the moth's catterpillars and completely safe for birds. It is a biological product using nematodes as natural enemy which infect and kill the catterpillars.

wice a year, around May and August, box tree moths lay their eggs on box trees. The catterpillars that hatch will start feeding on the leaves and stems, leaving silk webbings all over the box trees. The catterpillars are aproximately 4cm long and have a yellow/brown-ish colour with black stripes and dots. Nematodes are tiny worms that can be found in the gound naturally. This species of nematodes can be used as control agent for catterpillars of the box tree moth. The nematodes need to be mixed with water after which they can be sprayed over the box trees. Once applied the nematodes will enter the catterpillars which makes them sick and causes them to stop eating. After a couple of days the catterpillars die. Nematodes can best be applied in the evening. At this point there is less sunlight so the mixture won't dry as quick, which is beneficial. The nematodes are completely harmless for birds and they will continue to help with your pest control.

Nematodes have a limited shelf life but can be stored for some weeks at 5-8 degrees celsius. See box for the exact expiration date.

This product contains nematodes to treat aproximately 20m2
